This critically acclaimed series of 30 minute documentaries was produced by KEG Productions in Canada, in association with the Canadian Audubon Society and the US parent. These broadcasts were some of the first in colour on CBC.

The show’s premise was simple: take camera and microphone into the wilderness and record it. The most famous contributor was Dan Gibson who produced The Land of the Loon, winner of the 1967 Canadian Film Award for best TV documentary.

The program offered films by Canadians including, Jack Carey, Wilf Gray, Edgar Jones, and Gibson. It also featured international productions from William Jahoda, John D. Bulger and Walter Berlet.
