Baroness von Sketch Show

The Baroness von Sketch Show ran for its first thirteen episodes in the 2016-17 season, debuting on June 14th 2016, and the first six episodes ran through July 19th. This all-female, single-camera comedy series was shot entirely on location. The all-female cast featured Carolyn Taylor, Meredith MacNeill, Aurora Browne and Jennifer Whalen . Said the CBC on announcing the series: “This satirical sketch show captures the banalities and absurdities of modern life.”  

The talented stars were also the writers and executive producers of the series. Jamie Brown was also an executive producer, and the series was produced by Frantic Films.

It returned for a second season on June 27th 2017, running through August 8th.

On September 20th 2017, Frantic Films announced that production was under way on ten new episodes that would comprise Season 3 of the Baroness von Sketch Show. The series was shot on location in and around Toronto through November 2017 for broadcast on CBC in 2018.

In  August 2018 the CBC announced that it had renewed the Baroness Von Sketch Show from Frantic Films for a fourth season of ten 30-minute episodes. The new season would begin production in Toronto in September for launch on CBC in 2019. On March 25th 2019 the CBC announced that a fourth season of ten 30-minute programs had been ordered.

On May 27th 2020 the CBC announced that Baroness von Sketch would be returning to the network schedule in the fall for its final season.
