This half-hour program ran for 12 weeks and featured the talents of Alan King, Denny Spence and John Livingston. It covered health issues in a sophisticated way by examining medical procedures from a practical and rational point-of-view. The series consultant was Dr. Norrie Swanson, who was the medical director of the Canadian Arthritis Society at the time.

Each program looked at a particular medical condition using dramatic vignettes that set out a diagnosis followed by an explanation for the doctor’s choice of treatment and prognosis for the patient. Host Lloyd Robertson interviewed the physician in question, with input from a panel of lay-people. Some of the issues covered included cases of leukemia, arthritis, heart disease, diabetes and pre-natal care. The purpose of the show was to de-mystify modern medicine.
