Comedy Inc – The Cast

With the exception of Corner Gas, which made an impressive debut in the 2003-2004 season, CTV’s history of situation comedies had been less than spectacular. Yet where the network began to scored significantly was in the field of stand-up comedy and sketches.   An example of this came with the debut in the fall of 2003 of Comedy Inc., a half hour sketch comedy series starring  comedian/writer Roman Danylo, with Aurora Browne and Jen Goodhue from Second City co-starring, supported by Terry McGurrin, Winston Spear, Gavin Stephens and Jen Robertson. Later additions to the cast included Dylan Mandlsohn, Toby Hargrave, Sugar Sammy, Kenny Robinson, Mark Forward, Tervor Boris, Lachlan Patterson, Erica Sigurdson, Jason John Whitehead Mike beatty and Wafik Nasralla.

Guest stars included Nikki Payne, Perry Perlmutar, Alex Nussbaum, Ian Sirota, Albert Howell, James Roussel, Gilson Lubin and James Cunningham. In addition to contributions from the cast, the series boasted a substantial writing team, including Heidi Foss, Paul Mather, Sandra Faire, Matt Watts, Justin Skinner and Scott McCrickard.

Comedy Inc. was produced in Toronto by NTM Productions in association with CTV and The Comedy Network.  It debuted on CTV in September 2003 on Saturdays at 10:30pm, and continued to return to the CTV schedule in subsequent years, with season five , which proved to0 be the final season, beginning on June 12th 2010, on Saturdays at 10:30pm.

The cast by then consisted of Roman Danylo, Jen Goodhue, Terry McGurrin, Jenn Robertson, Winston Spear, Gavin Stephens, Albert Howell, Ian Sirota and Renee Percy, and featured Sarah Cornell, Bob Kerr and Leslie Seller.
