This short series of four programs, was a co-production of the CBC, the BBC and ABC Australia. On two of the programs, it featured Canada’s finest jazz musicians at the time hosted by radio announcer, Phil McKellar.

The first show had the Jimmy Dale Orchestra and the Sonny Greenwich Quartet, featuring Bob Angus on piano, Doug Wilson on bass and Jerry Fuller on drums led by the Montreal-based guitarist. The second program featured pianist Tony Collacott and his trio, and the Rob McConnell Quartet featuring Ed Bickert on guitar.
