Aired Mondays, after school from October 1968 to June 1969. Repeated Saturday afternoons from September 1969 to March 1970.

Produced originally in French, and later dubbed into English, this Quebec/Swiss/Belgian co-production offered young viewers the adventures of Sieur D’Iberville, aka Pierre Lemoyne. It was the story of a 17th century swashbuckler,told in the spirit of Captain Blood and Tom Jones. A colour production with a big budget, D’Iberville featured a replica of his ship The Pelican and period sets in Quebec City and Montreal. The series also featured the talents of 175 actors.

The CBC also produced and broadcast This Is D’Iberville, a half-hour documentary, produced by Brian O’Leary, on the making of the television series, which aired on August 7, 1967.
