Don Harron Show, The

Network: CTV Television Network

Broadcast Run: 1983 to 1985

Broadcast Medium: Television

The third in a row of one-hour daytime talk/interview shows to be produced out of Vancouver, the Don Harron Show replaced the Alan Thicke Show on CTV in 1983 for a two-year run. Harron, an experienced radio, television, theatre and movie performer, as well as being the co-creator of the Anne of Green Gables musical, had a warmth that made viewers very comfortable with his role as host and interviewer.

As with the Alan Hamel and Alan Thicke shows that preceded Harron in the daily 1:00 – 2:00pm time period on CTV, The Don Harron Show was produced in the studios of Vancouver network affiliate BCTV. It began its run in the fall of 1983, and ended in September 1985.
