Go

Network: CBC Radio

Broadcast Run: 2002

Broadcast Medium: Radio

Aired Saturdays at 10am on Radio One. Debuted July 6, 2002. Originally a weekly summer program, Go was the brainchild of Kai Black, David Carroll and Brent Bambury. It was an extension of two game show ideas, Off The Cuff and Grooveshinny, two programs that offered music and trivia questions designed to entertain and casually inform.

The show’s eclectic and energetic blend of music, contests and interviews, all set before a studio audience, followed a strong tradition of shows in the same timeslot, such as The Max Ferguson Show, Basic Black and Royal Canadian Air Farce. The production team often traveled to major Canadian cities to produce a local version of the program. Ottawa, Halifax, Vancouver and Calgary were regular locations for the show.

Host: Brent BamburyProducers: Kai Black, David Carroll and Elizabeth Bowie.
