1984

Le 1er mars, Radio Basse-Ville recevait une licence une vue d’exploiter une station de radio communautaire FM de langue française à Québec à la fréquence 96,1 MHz, avec une puissance apparente rayonnée de 6,8 watts. Ce serait une station « de voisinage », diffusant trente heures par semaine.
Le 31 octobre, CKIA entrait en ondes.

2001

CKIA recevait l’autorisation de changer de fréquence, migrant du 96,1 au 88,3 MHz et d’augmenter la puissance apparente rayonnée de 6,8 watts à 350 watts.

2007

Le 17 mai, le CRTC renouvelait la licence de CKIA-FM jusqu’au 31 août 2014.
