Broadcast Run: 2003 to 2010

Broadcast Medium: Television

Occupation Double was a reality TV series that was first broadcast in 2003. The first two seasons were hosted by Éric Salvail. Joël Legendre took over from 2006 to 2009. He was then replaced by Pierre-Yves Lord.

The program concept featured young single men and women who all shared a common goal: to fall in love! The contestants had to live 24/7 under the lenses of dozens of cameras placed in two homes, one for the male contestants and one for the female contestants, that recorded their every move and slightest gesture. They had to learn to live together and let the TV viewers witness their passions and deceptions.

During various trips and activities organized especially for them, either as couples or in a group, the contestants had to forge relationships and use all their charms to try to avoid elimination, that occurred every week, until only one couple remained, and the winners got to share the numerous prizes, including a home.

The program won the 2004 Gémeaux award as the best reality TV program.
