Aired Sunday nights from December 1974 to May 1975. Aired November 1975 to March, 1976.

This was a program of original dramatic works for television, created by John Hirsch, then head of CBC Drama. Hirsch simply revived a version of Playhouse 90, popular during the 1950s. The works on Performance offered more contemporary stories with social relevance, and tapped into new Canadian theatre companies for its material.
