CHSJ-FM signed on the air. It operated on a frequency of 100.5 MHz with a power of 320 watts. Co-owned CHSJ-AM had been on the air since 1927, starting out as CFBO and becoming CHSJ in 1934. In 1945, CHSJ was purchased by The Telegraph-Journal and Evening Times-Globe, which was owned by the Irving Family. Studios and offices were at 14 Church Street.

1954

CHSJ-FM left the air around 1954. In 1998, CHSJ-AM moved to the FM band and became known as CHSJ-FM.
