On February 16, the CRTC approved the application by Corporation Tepatcimo Kitotakan to operate a Native-language FM radio programming undertaking at Obedjiwan, on the frequency 89.9 MHz, channel 210, with an effective radiated power of 50 watts. It would broadcast 87 hours per week of programming in the Attikamek language, of which 74 hours and 30 minutes would be produced locally and 12 hours and 30 minutes would originate from the Société de Communication Atikamekw Montagnais network.
