Sausage Factory

Network: CTV Television Network

Broadcast Run:  2001 to 2002

Broadcast Medium: Television

One of several series produced originally for the Comedy Channel, and which subsequently played on CTV, Sausage Factory was a half-hour animated series produced in Vancouver by Nelvana and Peace Arch Entertainment Group. Promoted as “Dawson’s Creek meets American Pie”, the series showed the trials and tribulations of four boys trying to survive their junior year at West Boulder High, and was intended by creator Henry Pincus as a homage to the 80’s teen movies he grew up with.

The voices for the characters included Adam Brody, Adam Frost, Kenny Fisher, Johnny Lewis, Kristen Renton and Andi Eystad, and the Executive Producer and writer of the series was Danny Kallis, whose production credits included Taxi, Silver Spoons and Who’s The Boss.

Sausage Factory played on the Comedy Network during the winter of 2002-2002, and moved to CTV for a thirteen-week run on Tuesdays at 8:30pm beginning in June of 2002. Its final telecast was on September 10th 2002.
