Aired Sunday or Monday nights, at various times, from 1976 to 1981.

This big budget program was the idea of Jack McAndrew, then head of CBC variety. He oversaw the production of high quality television music shows, featuring Canada’s best known artists.

The series featured specials by Rene Simard, Oscar Peterson, Moe Koffman, The Irish Rovers, Karen Kain, guitarist Liona Boyd and figure skater Toller Cranston.

Wayne and Shuster produced their four annual specials for this time slot as well.
