This was a 13 part series about genealogy. It featured profiles of familiar Canadians and the history of their respective family trees. Those who took part included  Don Cherry, Margot Kidder, Mary Walsh, Scott Thompson, Gen. Lewis MacKenzie, Steven Page, Avi Lewis, Sonja Smits, Measha Brueggergosman, Randy Bachman, Shaun Majumder and Chantal Kreviazuk. By using a cross section of regional and ethnic personalities, the producers hoped to provide viewers with an interesting history of Canada.

The CBC licensed the rights to the format from the UK company Wall to Wall. In 2011, Canada’s Citytv licensed a US version of the series under this title, which was on NBC and featured well-known American personalities.

Repeats of the Canadian series began running on CBC on Monday September 17th at 8:30 pm.
