Zoe Busiek – Wild Card

Network: Global Television Network

Broadcast Run: 2003 to 2005

Broadcast Medium: Television

Joely Fisher (Baby Bob, Ellen) returned in 2004 for a second season as Zoe Busiek, a quirky, down-to-earth insurance fraud investigator with a big heart and high-octane personality. Chris Potter (Queer as Folk, Spymate) again portrayed Dan Lennox, a hard-working, savvy fraud investigator who will do anything to separate fact from fiction.  Joining the cast this season was Loretta Devine (Boston Public) as M. Pearl McGuire, Zoe and Dan’s larger-than-life new boss. The new episodes ramped up the sexual tension between Zoe and Dan as they branched out from strictly insurance claims and took on higher profile and higher risk cases. Zoe Busiek: Wild Card was a humour-filled, exuberant investigative series in which one woman ventured out into the big bad world, found injustice, righted its wrongs, and discovered herself along the way. The series was produced by Busiek Productions in association with Fireworks Entertainment and Lifetime Television.
